Understanding and feeling the wrist
hinging and correct elbow bending.
GTA ANGLE & LAG
This teaching aid is designed so that
the golfer can use it for two important fundamental of the golf swing.
Can be use by either right or left handed golfers.
1-
To see and feel the proper
wrist hinging
and right elbow bending
(right hand golfer) in the back swing and also see and feel what is meant
by a delayed release.
When the GTA Angle Creator is being
used, the clip is attached to the club shaft near the grip. The
web belt is then attached to the golfer belt at the hip nearest the
target (photo #1).
The web belt is adjusted to the proper
length by extending the arms away from the body. This is done with
the hands at chest level with the club shaft vertical to the ground. The
web belt should have no slack in this position.
The golfer now gets into his normal
address position.
During the backswing, the left arm
remains straight and extended.
The GTA Angle Creator will then hinge
the wrist at waist high. Continuing the back swing, the right
elbow will now bend to 90 degrees.
On the down swing it will resist the
early release of the angle of the left wrist. A good indication of
when to release is when there is little resistance. You will feel
the difference.
2- To see and feel
club head lag .
When the unit is being used to
SEE and FEEL
LAG in a chip shot, the clip is attached to the hosel. The arm
strap is placed above the right elbow (right hand golfer).

A straight left arm and a cup right
wrist with the club shaft is in line with the left arm, adjust the strap
so that there is no slack in the web belt. Photo #1.
During the stroke, there should be no
slack in the web belt.
