GTA-19 Clyde Putting Guide

This product was the first item that I invented.

Introduce the Clyde Putting Guide in 1984 at the PGA Merchandise and had good success.

The Putting Guide concept was design after reading a putting tip from one of the golf magazines.

It stated that to be successful with putting you should have some basic set-up fundamentals and stroke guide lines.

Set-up fundamentals.

                       (1) Eyes over the ball.

                       (2) Ball placement was to be vertically in line with the left eye.

                       (3) Feet width, to be about the length of the hip width.

                                                                      Types of putting strokes.

                        (1) PENDULUM, moving the putter to the end of the back stroke than allowing

gravity to move the putter to impact. The back stroke distance and follow thru

                             distance generally are equal.

                         (2) HITTING, moving the putter to the end of the back stroke than striking the ball

with  muscular force. The back stroke distance is shorter than the follow thru.

The two rods that contact the forearms have two functions.

During the set-up they will indicate weather the forearms are parallel to the target line.

During the stroke, the position of the two rods on the forearm should remain the same. If for

some reason they move, this shows that the wrist have not remain constant.
